THE FOLLOWING, REPRESENTS A DESCRIPTION OF MY LATEST ACTIVITIES (1989-2013), IN THE SAME ORDER AS IN MY CV:



JAN 2009 TO PRESENT

-BESIDES HOLDING A FULL TIME POSITION AS DIRECTOR AT CAKGS (2009-2011), DURING THE SAME PERIOD, I WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN ADDITIONAL PROJECTS OF PERSONAL INTEREST; IN MEXICO, I HAVE CONDUCTED SHORT-TERM CONSULTANCIES FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL PRECISION PLASTIC EXTRUSION, NEGOTIATED A GOVERNMENT-MANAGED PROPERTY FOR A PUBLIC SERVICE PRIVATE CORPORATION AND ORGANIZED A TRADE MISSION. IN CANADA, I SPENT TIME PROMOTING CANADIAN PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ABROAD, UNDERTOOK SEVERAL COURSES AND CERTIFICATIONS AS PART OF MY CE AND HAVE WORKED ACTIVELY ON TECHNICAL TRANSLATIONS FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY TO-DATE.



JAN 2009 TO NOV 2011

-WHILE WORKING UNDER A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH A LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNER, I FULFILLED SEVERAL ROLES. THE ORIGINAL OBJECTIVE WAS TO DESIGN AND MARKET A NEW GAMUT OF PRODUCTS IN A DIFFERENT FOOD SEGMENT THAN WHAT THE COMPANY HAD CONSISTENTLY BEEN MANUFACTURING (FOR 15+ YEARS).

MY MAIN CONTRIBUTION DURING THESE 36 MONTHS, WAS TO ASSIST THIS COMPANY ACHIEVE GOALS THAT HAD BEEN CONSIDERED UNTHINKABLE AND UNAFFORDABLE. THE SOLUTIONS BROUGHT TO THEM WERE A RESULT OF RESEARCH, NEGOTIATION, PERSEVERANCE AND THE CONTINUED DESIRE TO BRING ABOUT PROFESSIONAL HIGH STANDARDS AND TO NOT ONLY OPEN NEW DOORS FOR BUSINESS, BUT TO SET THE RIGHT TOOLS IN PLACE TO ACHIEVE THE VERY GOALS THAT CONFORMED THE ORIGINAL COMPANY VISION. 

THE COMPANY IS NOW ON ITS WAY TO PRODUCE A UNIQUE (HIGH-END) CONSUMER PRODUCT CO-BRANDED WITH TWO RECOGNIZED WORLD LEADERS, HAS THE ASSURANCE OF WORKING UNDER BMPs IN A CERTIFIED FACILITY, AND HAS A UNIQUE BONDED STATUS TO CATER TO THE NEEDS AND PROFILE OF ITS RAW MATERIALS AND HAS ACHIEVED SO, LOWERING ITS COSTS CONSIDERABLY.



APR 1989 TO DEC 2008

-THE BUSINESS OBJECTIVE SET OUT INCLUDED THE INCORPORATION OF A NEW FIRM IN LATIN AMERICA, THE ACQUISITION OF AN EXCLUSIVE NATIONAL REPRESENTATION FROM A WORLD LEADING COMMODITY SUPPLIER, AND IMPORT/DISTRIBUTION/PROMOTION OF EQUIPMENT, MOULDS AND RAW MATERIALS FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY (FROM A PRE-NAFTA SCENARIO AND THROUGH THE MANY CHANGES THAT A HOST OF REGULATIONS WOULD BRING ABOUT). INTRODUCING THESE RANGE OF PRODUCTS INTO MEXICO, TRANSLATED INTO AN INTENSIVE PROMOTIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN.

THIS VENTURE BECAME MORE ELABORATE WITH THE INSTALLATION OF AN UP-TO-CODE APPLICATIONS LAB THAT SERVED THE MULTI-PURPOSE NEEDS OF BOTH A SHOWROOM AND A SPACE FOR DEMOS/COURSES DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONALS. THIS, TIED NEATLY TO AN ON-LINE OFFERING OF 300+ PRODUCTS RELATED TO THE PROCESSING OF OUR PRODUCTS.

WE SUCCESSFULLY LOOKED AFTER MULTI MILLION DOLLAR SALES TO INDUSTRIAL KEY ACCOUNTS SETTING UP CREATIVE AND MANAGEABLE LOGISTIC STRATEGIES, ADOPTED SPECIALIZED LEADING-EDGE SOFTWARE AND SUSTAINED OUR END OF AN AGREEMENT FOR 17+ YEARS DESPITE INCREDIBLE CHALLENGES SUCH AS THE DEPRECIATION OF THE NATIONAL CURRENCY IN 1994 (OVER 300%), THE DEFAULTING OF AGREEMENT TERMS ON THE PART OF OUR TRANS-NATIONAL PARTNER (DUE TO COMPLEX MERGER POLICIES) AND ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WHILE PIONEERING IN A PRICE-SENSITIVE MARKET, HAVING STARTED OPERATIONS WITHOUT WORKING CAPITAL.
